The Uganda Bugisu comes from the Sipi Falls project in eastern Uganda. Located on the lush slopes of Mt Elgon in the Kapchorwa district lies the Bugisu region, named for the Bugisu people, native to the area. The Sipi Falls project was founded in 1999 and named for a trio of waterfalls. It was founded in an effort to strengthen quality coffee production and create sustainable income for the farmers. All of the farms that contribute to this lot are family owned and operated.
